Evander delivered a standout performance in FC Cincinnati's statement 3-0 victory over Eastern Conference rival Inter Miami CF at TQL Stadium on Wednesday night and was named MLS Player of the Matchday as a result.
The Brazilian midfielder broke open a tightly contested match with two second-half goals, helping Cincinnati secure three crucial points against Lionel Messi and company in a high-stakes battle between Supporters' Shield contenders. The victory strengthened Cincinnati's position near the top of the Eastern Conference standings and snapped Miami's recent winning streak.

Since arriving in Cincinnati from Danish side Midtjylland before the start of the 2023 season, Evander has established himself as one of MLS's premier playmakers.
