Manchester United are in Getafe to try and resolve Greenwood's future, according to . The forward has attracted interest from Barcelona and other clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia, with the Red Devils eager to sell for a fee of approximately €50 million (£42m/$54m). Getafe have already made it clear they would like to keep hold of Greenwood but are unable to meet United's asking price. However, the club are hoping to find a solution that would allow the 22-year-old stay for another season at Getafe.

United's trip to Getafe comes after a meeting in Barcelona with sporting director Deco. The Catalan giants are also reported to be admirers of Greenwood, but the club's difficult financial situation means a permanent transfer looks unrealistic at present. Greenwood is said to be reluctant to return to Old Trafford and may well be tempted to remain in Spain after making an impact with Getafe this season.
